# Thought for Today

The biggest men and women with the
biggest ideas can be shot down by the
smallest men and women
with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

What you spend years building
may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you
if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and
you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

So … How to handle this problem?
Gladly, here are some simple solutions to tune up your pc/laptop performance. Let’s straight and go to the first one

1. Minimize the usage of your memory/RAM

In this case there are many ways to do it. Use no/blank wallpaper can increase your display performance. In other place, disabling appearance features like animate, shadow and theme can minimize memory usage so your operation system could work faster.

2. Scheduling computer’s hard drive tools

Hard drive tool such as ‘Scandisk’ and ‘Defragmenter’ should be run regularly. Both of these tools functionally to maximize the efficiency of your hard/storage drive.

There are also many free defragmenter software. Let say 'Defragglar’ . I put this one here because it is easy to use.

3. Use Optimization software

Optimization software can optimize and fix your system settings. At the same time it is also useful to clean up junk files in your hard disk i.e. internet cache, recycle bin, and cookies. Free from any junk files make your hard drive performs optimally and your operation system could run faster. You have so many competing demands on your time: friends, movies, studying lectures, home, relationships and on and on. How can you come to grips with all of it? Most time management experts say that one of the first things people need to do to manage their time is to determine how they spend their time now.

Procrastinators work as many hours in the day as other people (and often work longer hours) but they invest their time in the wrong tasks. Sometimes this is simply because they don't understand the difference between urgent tasks and important tasks, and jump straight into getting on with urgent tasks that aren't actually important.

Steps to check Time Management
  • Prepare a To Do list - Write down things you have to do.
  • Prepare Daily/weekly planner - Write down appointments, classes, and meetings on a chronological log book or chart.
  • Long term planner - Use a monthly chart so that you can plan ahead. These planners will also serve as a reminder to constructively plan time for yourself.
  • Use Distributed Learning and Practice: Study in shorter time blocks with short breaks between. This keeps you from getting fatigued and "wasting time." This type of studying is efficient because while you are taking a break, the brain is still processing the information.
  • Make Sure the Surroundings are Conducive for carrying out the tasks you are doing. This will allow you to reduce distractions which can "waste time.
  • Make Room for Entertainment and Relaxation: You need to have a social life, yet, you need to have a balance in your life.
  • Make Sure you Have Time to Sleep and Eat Properly.
  • Try to Group Activities together.
Small things which makes difference set priorities and manage your time to meet deadlines, set and achieve goals, get over your internal barriers when putting your goals and plans in action,`effectively organize your daily actions make smarter decisions faster, uncover better options, work in a team or build one, prevent burnout

# Healthy Habits For a Long and Fulfilling Life

Why some people live up long and enjoyable life while others gt bed ridden at an early age. Given a choice, I know what I (& you) would do - enjoy a healthy and fulfilling life of course.

Following healthy habits can statistically increase your lifespan by up to 11 years! That's a lot of extra time to get to live, and you can add it to your life by following a few simple habits:

1. Breakfast: Never skip it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Still, many of us skip it thinking that it will help us shed pounds. When you skip breakfast your blood sugar levels, as well as other nutrient levels drop, depriving you of the required nutrition and energy for the rest of the day. Breakfast eaters have a more positive attitude toward school and work, and they perform better.

2. Bite into something good. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Fruits are cool and juicy, so they get you the water you need to stay hydrated and they also provide the vitamins and nutrients that fat-free snack foods don't. They're good and they taste sweet - and some contain antioxidants that help prevent aging.

3. Eat regular meals. Skipping meals can lead to out-of-control hunger, often resulting in overeating. When you're very hungry, it's also tempting to forget about good nutrition. Snacking between meals can help curb hunger, but don't eat so much that your snack becomes an entire meal.

4. Exercise Daily! You don't have to be a professional athlete - just make time for 15-20 minutes of exercise daily. Take a walk, dance crazily to music, go for a jog, play volleyball on the beach, whatever it takes to get your heart pumping for a little while.

5. Get your sleep. Getting at least 8 hours of sleep every night can extend your life. Your body has time to recharge every night so it's fresh and ready to face the onslaught of the next day.

6. Every day, devote a little time for yourself. Take some time out of your "busy" schedule. First, eliminate all forms of intrusion. Then close your eyes, breathe deeply and let your thoughts float downstream like a log carried by the river. You can practice meditation or relax in a hot bath with aromatherapy. When a thought comes up, just watch it float away.

Hope you enjoy these little tips and all of this can fulfilled your life to the fullest.

# Listening Below the Surface

By: Jeanie Marshall

Most people listen selectively. There’s really nothing wrong with that. We can’t listen to everything. In each situation, we need to determine how, what, how much, and where to listen. We can listen and learn anyplace. Life takes place in little vignettes.

At the Cleaners......

My dry cleaner establishment is remodeling, producing strain on already-limited parking. The other day, several of us were frustrated when we finally arrived at the counter.

One woman said, "Are you going to have more parking when all this construction is complete?" The wise counter person deferred to the owner standing nearby. The not-so-wise owner responded to the words of the question rather than taking into consideration the frustration in the customer's voice and energy field.

His well-rehearsed dissertation gave us plenty of facts: one parking space is lost to the construction, persons pose as customers to try to fool the parking attendant, a plan of parking validation, etc. But the Right-Now-in-the-Moment situation with real-live human beings with emotions and needs was essentially ignored.

Had he listened to the information beneath the surface of the words of his customer’s question, he would have presented us with fewer facts and perhaps said something like, "We have several plans for improving the parking — it’s quite frustrating right now, isn’t it?" A compassionate statement such as this would have diffused the frustration, let her know that he heard the words of the question and more, and invited her to take the conversation in any direction she wanted, if at all.

On the Airplane......

On a flight to Vancouver, I appreciated observing one flight attendant engaging with the passengers. Here is one incident. The attendant spilled hot water near a passenger. He quickly grabbed napkins to mop up the mess, none of which ever touched the passenger. When nearly done, the flight attendant looked at her with a friendly smile and said, "gosh, that was pretty scary, wasn’t it?" He didn’t gush with apologies or over-react to the situation or blame the bumpy flight. Messes happen.

This flight attendant seemed more interested in his passenger than in how he might be perceived — what a concept! He is trained to put the comfort and safety of the passengers ahead of his own. And he demonstrated this well.

Anyplace in Life......

I often observe how people listen — or do not listen — to each other. Listening is an underrated and underdeveloped skill, yet the most important skill in healthy interactions. In a society that emphasizes outward actions, we have sometimes forgotten the value of the inner process, of the quiet connections, of the deeper meanings that are wordless.

The words we say are not nearly as important as the consciousness from which we speak. Compassion is a consciousness which is received more deeply than the accompanying words. Phrases are easier to teach than compassion; however, it is the compassion we must learn to embody. When we do, the words follow naturally.

Most people listen selectively. There’s really nothing wrong with that. We can’t listen to everything. In each situation, we need to determine how, what, how much, and where to listen. We can listen and learn anyplace. Life takes place in little vignettes.
