# Ice Cream for The Soul

Here is a short story that could make us think for a moment. As was told there is a young mother who was taking her daughter to a restaurant to have a dinner. After the meal served her daughter asked her if she could say grace. This young mother smiles at her daughter and nod her head allow. As they bowed their head the little girl start to pray, “God is good. God is great. Thank You for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all. Amen!"

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, they heard a woman remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice-cream. Why, I never..!"

Hearing this, her daughter burst into tears and asked, "Did I do it wrong Mom..? Is God mad at me?" Immediately this young mother unseats close to her daughter, held her and assured her that she had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at her.

Then an elderly gentleman approached the table. He smile and wink funnily at the little girl and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer."

"Really?" the little girl asked.

"Cross my heart." he answered and put his hand on his chest.

Then in a theatrical whisper he added, indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing, “Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes." After that he smile and walk away from their table. The little girl stop sobbing and they continue their dinner.

At the end of the meal surely this young mother orders the ice cream for her daughter. As the ice cream served the little girl stared at the woman whose remark when she was praying for a moment and then she did something that made her mother could never forget for the rest of her life.

The little girl picked up her sundae and without a word walked over and placed it in front of that woman. With a big smile she told her, "Here, this is for you Madam. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes, and my soul is good already."

Here is a scene of a life :

A husband wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table. He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed.

He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotless, clean. So is the rest of the house.

He takes the aspirins and notices a note on the table. "Honey, breakfast is on the table, I left early to go grocery shopping. Love You!"

Totally shocked with the note , he goes to the kitchen and sure enough there is a hot breakfast and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating.

He asks, "Son, what happened last night?"
His son says, "Well, you came home around 3 AM, drunk and delirious. Broke some crockery, puked in the hall, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door".

Confused, the man asks, "So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me? I should expect a big quarrel with her!"

His son replies, "Oh, that...! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your clothes n shoes off, you said,

"LADY LEAVE ME ALONE! I'M MARRIED!"
